Elena Katrantzos, LMHC

Elena Katrantzos is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York State. She is the founder and Clinical Director of EK Mental Health Counseling and provides psychotherapy to adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Her approach integrates evidence based practices with a warm non-judgmental style. She holds a Masters of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Southwest and a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Phoenix. Elena has completed post graduate training programs in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, and Habit Reversal Training from the IOCDF Behavior Therapy Training Institute (BTTI), Cognitive Behavior Institute, PESI, and CBTschool.com. She has also received advanced consultation and training from recognized anxiety and OCD expert clinicians. Additionally, she holds professional memberships with the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA), International OCD Foundation (IOCDF), and The TLC Foundation for BFRBs.

Talia Blumofe, LMHC

Talia Blumofe is a Mental Health Counselor in New York state. Talia believes in a compassionate and collaborative space for therapy. She practices a holistic approach to change. Shemelly Williams, LMHC

Shemelly Williams is a Mental Health Counselor in the State of New York. Shemelly is a compassionate and empathetic counselor who aims to create an environment conducive to her client's growth, and understanding of self. She obtained a BA in Social Work from Buffalo State University and continued her studies at Nyack College, earning a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling. Shemelly has experience working with anxiety disorders, family issues, substance use and crisis management. She is culturally competent in understanding and working with diverse populations, families, adolescents, and adults. She has completed post graduate training in Exposure Response Prevention and Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors through the CBT School. Shemelly identifies with a person-centered orientation to psychotherapy while utilizing mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in order to best assist her client's needs.

Alyssa Gallo, MHC-LP

Mental Health Counselor

Alyssa Gallo is a Mental Health Counselor in the state of New York. Alyssa focuses on curating a safe and welcoming environment where individuals can feel supported and able to work on their goals collaboratively. She obtained her Masters in Mental Health Counseling from the City University of New York, Brooklyn College. She completed her internship at Kingsborough Community College, where she provided therapeutic services to a diverse population of college students. Alyssa is also a registered behavior technician (RBT) and has provided ABA therapy to individuals. She is also culturally and LGBTQ+ competent as certified by the Institute of Human Identity. She has completed post graduate training on Exposure Response Prevention, Habit Reversal Training from the CBTSchool and Cognitive Behavior Institute. Alyssa enjoys a holistic approach to therapy, as she holds the belief that the mind and body both play a role in determining our overall wellness. She practices a person-centered orientation to psychotherapy tailoring and integrating therapeutic techniques to best fit each individual.

Alexa Mullings, MHC-LP

Mental Health Counselor

Alexa Mullings is a Mental Health Counselor in the state of New York. Alexa strives to create a therapeutic relationship based on teamwork, as well as a calm atmosphere so clients can be themselves. She earned her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Mercy College. Alexa has trained in Exposure Response Prevention and Habit Reversal Training for Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors through CBTSchool and Cognitive Behavior Institute. Alexa gained clinical experience during her time as an intern by working with children, adolescents, and young adults. She has worked with varying mental health diagnoses and treatment modalities. Alexa takes a Mindfulness-Based approach to counseling while also utilizing Rational-Emotive and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques. In doing so, she hopes to create the most beneficial and productive session for every client.

Epifania Rita Gallina, MHC

Intern

Epifania Rita Gallina is a mental health counseling student at Cuny, Hunter College. Epifania believes in the power of each individual to find their inner strength and conquer their dreams. Epifania has experience in private practice co-running support groups for OCD and Anxiety Disorders under the supervision of Dr. Steven Philipson. In addition, Epifania completed her first practicum experience under the supervision of Dr. Elliot Kaminetzky at My OCD care. In her time at the center she learned how to further utilize skills in cognitive behavioral therapy, exposure and response prevention, Acceptance and Commitment therapy as well as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Epifania also has experience in mindfulness-based interventions and is passionate about helping all people face their fears and take back their lives.
